The Last Good Men Poem by CHIGOZIE DANGOL

The Last Good Men

Arise compadre! Natures call obey!
Like a virus it infected us!
Like a parasite it feed fat on us!
Time and tide irreversible, the continuum widens.

They stood aloof, immune to the flu!
Corrupt seeds sown in the night
The last good men rode high the crystal palace.
Tin gods, spotless silence.

Yet the storm grew strong!
Wild it's infection festered. Corruption paced and caught up with them. Till the last good men turned bad.
