The Last Hope Poem by Octavious Harper

The Last Hope

Rating: 5.0

This the last hope as I look to the sky,
pondering my head asking 'Why God,
Why? ' Was it something so wrong?
Was it something I did? That has me
wondering through thoughts in bed.

I know it's not you though I said things
in pain, but Satan is the one for who I
cast the blame, a bully to all for he
cursed your name! So Evil! How he
plays with our lives like a game.

I pray for the day when this world is
at peace. No War! No Sickness! No
homeless on the streets. But until
that day comes let me ask you for this.
That you please strengthen my mind
and open my fists.

And to let sins of present become sins
of past, because you forgive us twice
as fast. So in ending this poem of prayer
today, I pray for the day when hope is
no more and peace and freedom will
forever stay.
