The Last Void Poem by R.Benjamin Abate

The Last Void

& If I should drop
The key to
The Gate of Heaven
May I climb the
Gate
& Leave my
Flesh on the
Sacred stake
At the top of the Gate
While my flesh waves
The mortals on like
A triumphant flag
While my spirit
Crawls to Heaven
& I fade into the
Last void

Imaginative and perceptive, thoughts of beyond that excite unwary visions. The abyss is also a chilly view of anguished torment and it is not voidable but infinite.
