The Leaf Poem by Dameon Johnson

The Leaf

Rating: 2.0

I remember vividly
When I was born into the warm, aged by the sun
I remember
Like birds of a feather, we united together

I felt the calm breeze of April, the magical bloom of May
That scorching summer heat, in awe with September's majestic display
Finally October, watch as my fragile pigment transpose
In the thick of brisk November, the end is nearing I suppose
As I wither here alone, taking in the December mist
I happily reflect my time with my old oak tree, I just hope I'll be missed
