The Leaves Of Autumn Poem by Edwina Reizer

The Leaves Of Autumn

The leaves of autumn are brilliant again
as they've been before.
They will shine for a while and start their fall,
fluttering to the floor.
The earthly floor accepts each one
and as we look around
we gather the rakes and blowers
to get them off the ground.

Why do we feel we must interrupt
all that nature does?
We change her scene and presume to know
all there ever was.
Well, maybe Mother Nature knows best
what we do not know,
like how she'll send the winds of fall
to let the leaves all blow.
