The Letter

Trust in yourself and do what’s right
Stand up for those unable to fight
Protect the weak, from the strong
And you’ll end up where you belong

When the others turn their heads away
Stand up and face your fears each day
A coward will die a thousand deaths…
While the hero takes his final breaths

Walk through life with your head high
Look your enemies straight in the eye
Remember that if you’re in the right
Never surrender without a fight

I hope this letter will help you my son
To become the man you should become
I’d be there with you, but I had to fight
My nation called… so I did what’s right
