The Light

The light
It shines
So brightly
Beckoning to me
Promising a new beginning
I want to go-
But fear prevents it
It tells me not to go
And reminds me
Of all that may happen
But I can not remain here
In the darkness any longer
Feeling hopeless
I have to take this chance
And hope it's what it really appears to be
