The Lion's Eyes Poem by Mark Gannon

The Lion's Eyes

The man looks into the blue eyes of the lion,
and sees a sincerity there once was.
Looks back at the horizon and
wonders why the sun never sets.

The man is dead of the lion's ignorance,
beacause,
all the love accumulates
into golden steal nets.
