The Living And The Dead Poem by Selina Tan

The Living And The Dead

Rating: 5.0

Feel the mind betray thyself!
Feel the dead reap the living
To which chain that disciplines its master
Leaving passion a threat
A disgrace to liken Erato
Left me to the dwelling
Of happiness
The untold world of humankind
Of which the sound was never pleasant
and lies that never echoed unheard
remains shunned

You are forgiven. Let the guilt and pain rest. I have a poem titled, 'Had I Known' that expresses how things would have been different. Very deep and touching poem from you. It was hear-felt and well written. For future reference also, 'The World of the Living.'
