The Loneliness Poem by Melanie Candy

The Loneliness

I'm in a dark place
and I'm sinking fast
wanting this time to be my turn
but again my heart comes last

There is only so much I can take
and once again I am to fall
why does he do this
why wont he call

So along come my tears
whilst I have to sit and wait
along with the loneliness, ache and the fears
of him never returning and for me love being late

And again I'm in a dark place
and I'm still sinking fast
hoping this time IS my turn
longing for the love and praying my heart this time will not come last.
