of all the fish in the sea
it seemed like I shouldn't be
alone beside you and me

I could sense a duplicity
at the base of the spine
it must have been the lake of wine

collecting time
undoing my neighbors sun
another one

I didn't seek
because they didn't speak
the language of the sea

told you to me that we must be
together with attentive notice
the other one was

going down hill while
I ran up the bill
for me to speak just

about you and i
