The Love 'trap' Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

The Love 'trap'

Rating: 5.0

Amazed at the way people's mind work
Hiding behind the masks that lurk
Breaking hearts just for ones selfish reasons
Living recklessly changing colors like seasons
A few moments of so called 'love' turned to dust
Using love as a trap to fullfill lust
Sick to see materialistic games all day
I pray one day for their misdeeds they pay
As I try to keep my sanity on hold
I see fake love in every fold
Using sugar coated words to get things they admire
May all their wicked sinful acts backfire
Feeling sad to see people live for material desire
Wish to see those con men burn in their funeral pyre
Seeing my loved ones heart frozen ice and cold
Struggling to make peace with their heart of gold
I pray to God, for once come down on this sinful earth
and spread peace love and humanity which is in dearth.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My heart cries for the victims of the betrayals. This poem is to all the losers out there who do things and get away with it, forgetting there is one superpower beyond all their bad intentions, fate brings them all to that point one day. And to all the ones, be strong and fight for your rights you are not born to be a victim. Your soft heart has given them the opportunity to play...Let go of the burden and breath. Remember There is God.

"Forgiveness has nothing to do with absolving a criminal of his crime. It has everything to do with relieving oneself of the burden of being a victim- letting go of the pain and transforming oneself from victim to survivor."

Rightly said, there is one superpower who is watching all these deeds from Above and yes, what you sow so shall you reap!

Wow. Very heart-touching poem. This world is so full of sham people. You have rightly pointed out that people use love as a trap. Words coming from the depths of your heart. Powerful work.10 many many times.
