The Making Of Eve, The First Woman Poem by Dr John Celes

The Making Of Eve, The First Woman

The God of goodness, love immense,
Believed that man shouldn't be alone,
So made for him a helper fit;
From earthly clay, He made each beast,
And Adam named each one of them.
The Lord then put Adam to sleep,
And fashioned one rib as woman
And Adam named her as woman,
Because Eve was made out of man.
And hence God bade each man to leave
His parents and cling to his wife,
So that they may become one flesh;
Though naked then, they weren't ashamed!
God loved to create by His word;
God made all things out of sheer love;
All things He made, He found them good;
Goodness was God and so was love!
