The Man Alone By The Sea Poem by David Blake

The Man Alone By The Sea

Perplexed, lost in the stones that always seem so out of place.
Burning my desire to find an end to the sorrow I can't escape.
Feeling my soul slowly fading away I lament the day I thought I could again say I love you.
Yet in the end I know my heart longs for nothing more than to know you, to hold you, and even love you.
Your memories again haunt me like the dark shadowy figures that dance in the caves measureless to man that search in vain for truth. No peace I pray should come to me unless I could have but one last kiss with you by the sea.
Even in this I know nothing could ever assuage my anger or fear that I might again lose you, but maybe after all I do still love you.
