The Mauritian Nightingale Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Mauritian Nightingale

Is she the nightingale of Mauritian vale
or the girl blind destined to rule the world?
Spellbound was the audience by her vocal gale
and for her melodies all their ears sold.

Her mesmerizing tone, who did give?
The bliss on the Chancellor's face shone
to gifting to Jane, whose name will ever live.
May God bless her for her skills to hone!

Milton made the world mute by 'Paradise Lost'
and Jane rocks the world with her lulling songs.
Her parents for the God's boon can themselves boast.
and to hear her lines again every soul longs.

Soulful songs in SRM University wee sung,
and all the fainted flowers to floor themselves flung
