The Meat-Eaters Victory Poem by Leslie Alexis

The Meat-Eaters Victory

Fowl be eerie
Foul the sight
As he bellows through
The abandoned night

Crowing madly
He speeds up day
For the sleepy humans
Along the way.

Cock-a-doodle-do,
His song the same,
But now hated
For what brought him fame.

Cock-a-doodle-do,
The song goes on
The crazy bird
Sings all day long.

Fowl be tasty -
Quite a bite –
Shotgun in hand
Let’s put out his light!

Fowl be tasty
Quite a chew
His meat be better
Than his cock-a-doodle-do.
