The Melodies Ringing Poem by David Davis

The Melodies Ringing

The Melodies ringing
From the church bell’s dinging
Overly mournful
But only to be scornful
Some be lost
And some be found
Hopefully singing for the middays bringing
Occasionally contemptuous but forever convicting
Her soul conveying its last and only meaning
Hopefully singing for the church bells ringing
