The Men Behind Celtic Poem by Daniel McDonagh

The Men Behind Celtic

The men behind Celtic
When the team was born,
Had political agenda’s
In the name of Ireland,
They stood for Home Rule
And the Nationalist cause,
Brought Michael Davitt to Parkhead
To lay a sod of grass,
So Celtic’s heritage
Is Irish proud,
Let us sing our songs,
Let us sing them loud.

Fine work, a grand cheer in the end.
