The Mermaid Girl Poem by norman hale

The Mermaid Girl

Her body is to die for, her beauty
Will send your heart in a whirl
She can swim like a fish
Because she's a mermaid girl

Her faceis of the beauty
Like no one has ever seen
But watch out for her tail
If you cause her to get mean

She dreams of becoming a lady
The kind who walks on land
And dreams of a handsome prince
To come take by her by the hand

But she is cursed for life
To always remain a mermaid
She must stay out of sight of man
Like a shadow among the shade

But her beauty runs deep
Way beyond her body or face
Someday she may die off
Come back as an angel from Grace

She swims beside the dolphins
And is friends with all the fish
But, to find her one true love
Is her one true wish
