    O wind of heaven, from pink clouds driven,
    What do you bring to me?
    The low call of thy love who waits
    Under the willow tree,
    Whose boat upon the water waits

    Il vento scende cavalcando giù dal cielo.
    Oh! vento del cielo, che cosa porti?
    Fresco per l'alba, rugiada per la sera,
    E tutte le cose più dolci.
    O vento del cielo, guidato da nuvole rosa,
    Che cosa mi porti?
    Il sommesso richiamo del tuo amore che attende
