The Mind Poem by ANJALI KAKATI

The Mind

The mind,
Like a horse
If ever was reined.
How could,
we ever have seen
the beauty of Picassos,
the leonardo-da-vincis?

The mind,
Like a handful of straw
If ever was held.
How could,
we ever have read
The verses of Gita,
Stories of Mahabharata?

The mind,
like a bird
If ever was caged.
How could,
we ever have heard
Melodys of Mozart,
Ragas of Tansens?

The mind
if was held
in a small space called skull
How could,
we ever had build the
world as it seems and sounds today?

Set them all free,
let them zoom away,
to which ever horizon
they choose to fly.
For whenever
it has been dictated
chained or tamed,
Civilizations have turned
but
into rivers of blood,
masses of grave.
For fury of a caged mind,
is ravenous and far untold.

u really freed the mind, but add a line of caution for the mind tends to sell itself to the devil if literally uncheked.........good poem.
