The Mind's Eye Poem by Howard Kern

The Mind's Eye

When humans are young
Minds stir imaginations
Abounding with, 'what-ifs'

If imaginations are outside norms
Acquired knowledge blinds
Mostly by, 'if-than'

When logic seems illogical
Wisdom questions, 'if-than'
Pragmatism try to dismiss, 'what-ifs'

Without illogical imaginations
Where, 'if-than' create new, 'what-ifs'
Humans create new logical, 'if-than' answers.
