The Miracle Of The Sky Poem by greg richardson

The Miracle Of The Sky

Rating: 5.0

Why'd it take my death
for you to understand
You thought I was crazy
in a sane land
Now you know the truth
I was the best you'd ever seen
Now the knocks seem louder
in this terrible machine
But it need not be so
I'm still around
listen to the birds chirp
and the barking of the hounds
I am in the ticking
of every clock in town
I am in the waves
of the great Puget Sound.
I talk between the words
of every Native American
I work all night
to free us of the vermin
Come to me, my brethren
Grow and multiple
I want to share with you
the Miracle of the Sky.
