The Mistake Poem by Chrissy Trovato

The Mistake

Rating: 5.0

I pace restlessly through my forest cache
Beleaguer to which the birds never tire
To why I blame birds, a pointless back lash
Myself alone brought this foolish white fire

My wrong doings I will always lament
Lion strong, the remorse, I fleece you not
My pleas are ignored, a failed penitent
A step too far, now i'm down every shot

Actions I knew not what they would beget
Consistent ignorance, unknown duress
And now I know I shall never forget
My ups are owned, isolated confess

An inner longing for pardon I yearn
But I know I cannot ever return
