The Mockingbirds Poem by Awasum Terrence

The Mockingbirds

three birds sit on a tree
the first laughs, the second laughs.
the thirds cries
'why cry little bird? '
'i see a human'
the laughing birds look but see no human
'little bird your seeing is blur'
the two birds laugh on
but little bird cries on
'i see a human and i see our nest gone'
the laughing birds look keenly
their nest not gone, no human to be seen
still little bird cries on and he cries long
far, far beyond trees go crashing
Nests get lost
before it was dawn the little bird was gone
two birds squat on a stone
the first wails, the second wails.
'the trees are gone'
'our nest has been undone'
'and little bird long gone.'
