The Moments Of Love Poem by Shaun William Hayes

The Moments Of Love

Rating: 5.0

The sensations, overwhelming
Our fuses, overloaded
We shut down in each other's arms
Crying and laughing, holding close and warm
Knowing in our hearts that this was it

This was the moment when we knew
Knew it could be repeated but never bettered
Knew it was only with each other that it mattered
Knew what true love, in love, really was
And felt the blessing of realisation

Felt each other, felt everything, felt nothing
And passed into sleep, as our minds surrendered
A smile on our lips, as dolphins sang
And waves caressed our dreams of a sandy beach
Hand in hand, walking and whispering our love
