From her slumber she awakens,
this night she rises
a radiance like never before
the moon.. so full and beautiful.

How long the storms have kept you away,
night after night i have waited
longing for your beauty to once again
grace the night sky.

Wanting.. once again to feel you,
gazing into your beauty
your soft beam.. gently caresses my face
reminiscent.. a lovers touch.

Always comforting.. all encompassing,
driving the darkness away
easing the pain of a heart
that has lived so long within the storm.

A soul.. running,
forever chasing an illusion
the dream.. that never was
finding peace beneath your heavenly mantle.

Though a tempest should arise,
two.. eternally united
separated.. a million miles apart
yet together.. one within my heart.

The moon.. so full and beautiful....
