The Moonlight Poem by Surendra Negi

The Moonlight

Rating: 5.0

Lit across, the vast dark skies;
like a pony, in a realm of grassland;
he hugs to his melancholic self,
lest he is dwarfed by thee.
He strives for, acheives more:
ah! but impatience, it injures impunity.
And like a colossal, Hades, his ego;
ever restless, never sane,
with every bit of unfaith in him,
drains him, of omnipotent reason.
For that's why, the day has moon,
but its glow, drowns in the sunlight.

Strives for, achieves more refers to the lunar cycle. And yes we can see moon in daytime too.
