The More You’re Asking For Repose Poem by Vic Postnikov

The More You’re Asking For Repose

The more you’re asking for repose,
The more you fear, the more you fear.
The fog is creeping from the fields,
The fog is crawling in your chest.

Sink in the velvet of the night…
Forget the former life you’ve had,
Forget the future life ahead…
The fog is crawling right behind…
One thing in mind –
To sleep, to sleep…
But someone
Terminates your rest.
