The Mountains Are Calling Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Mountains Are Calling

Authors - Joyce Hemsley
and John William McGrath.

With freedom only found in dreams,
We may walk together one day,
As skylarks sing in the fields of green
And the sun takes the night away.

So stay and enter the door of my mind,
Come, tell me the story of love;
For you, I would walk a golden mile
Through the gates of heaven above.

Oh, to admire those secret charms
As with rapture we talk together.
The mountains and sea are calling us back
To the shimmering trees of September.

And with freedom only found in dreams
At last we may find the way...
Under amethyst skies shining with love
Tomorrow could be a 'beautiful' day.
