The Mourning Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

The Mourning

Rating: 5.0

The swan now mourns his love,
and from his heart he cries,
he did his very best,
to help her, til she died,
a shadow has befallen,
this brave-heart who was true,
death did come and make it's claim,
the price it asked was due,
it would not seem like much,
perhaps to you and I,
but Swan paid with all he had,
the day his life-mate died
