The Narrow Minded Few Poem by Francis Duggan

The Narrow Minded Few

Rating: 5.0

It may effect your sense of self worth in some way
The negative things about you others say
It bothers you they have you in their 'gun'
Because you've never harmed anyone.

Because they see you as a different type
For their uncalled for criticisms you seem ripe
And I wouldn't feel too worried were I you
About the harsh words of the narrow minded few.

The narrow minded few their World is small
And their deeds are never worthy of recall
And their names never outlive the graves of death
And anyone that's different they see as a threat.

Anyone that's different they will criticize
Their big idea to cut you down to size
And they feel good if their words take effect
These petty types their own selves don't respect.

I would not worry one bit were I you
About the judgements of the narrow minded few
Your rent or rates or your bills they do not pay
And they do not help you out in any way.
