The Neverending Tower Poem by Cold Teardrop

The Neverending Tower

Rating: 5.0

Beyond trees and forests
I start my journey.
Away from everything thats cold and sour.
Past valleys, mountains I reach the big white tower.
The gardens beautiful and pure, I reach to cut a crystal flower.
And the flower devilishly smiles, it had stinged me with all its power.
A bloody dropp shall fall in this late time hour.
Now the posion lives within, it wants my body to devour.
But I will enter deeper in the tower.
I see no stairs waiting to be climbed, only feelings waiting to empower.
I walk beyond the moon and stars, seeing only angels, demons in that darkness, waiting, praying, my heart will only scour.
I refuse to open my eyes, knowing that the rain will shower.
Beyond memories and skies
I will soon start my journey...

I agree that this writing is full of imagery but what does it mean. Imagery, without meaning is just writing with no purpose. There must always be a clear purpose to any writing, otherwise it is just a waste of ink. GW62
