The Next Day Poem by Isaac Helms

The Next Day

This pain chokes the life out of me
Why can't all of you just let me be
Try tohold what I have together
Becoming as light as a feather
I have caused way too much pain
A lif ethat went down the drain

Never have anything good to say
All my stress made me this way
All food I eat taste like ash
Happiness want away in a flash
Nothing can quinch my thurst
I can only expect the worst

I didn't want to be this way
Yet I will be the same the next day

Isaac, a good write about regret and depression... many of us feel the same way. Change is hard, sometimes it feels easier to remain hopeless. Nice Job! Brian
