The Night Poem by Carl Harrison

The Night

Rating: 5.0

As I lay there in the night
I look to my left
and see my wife

Her eyes start to
close her head drops
down

She is now asleep
so my mind wakes up
I think of the worst
so I wake her up

She still looks asleep
so I hold her hand

Then I lay back
and go to sleep

Another night
in progress as we
both sleep
