The Night I Came Home Poem by Prince ....

the night i came home
i came home late
i when to the office her dad and me shared
i found the letter on my desk
i told her dad to call the
hospital to get an ambulance
i ran to our room we shared to
stop her but i was too late to stop her
i picked her up into my arms and asked her why?
she said im tired of this
world i couldnt take it anymore
but I STILL LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART

she died that night in my arms
a hour before the ambulance got their
so i went into the office grabbed her dads gun and said forgive me for this
i put the gun into my mouth
ready to pull the trigger
but her dad stopped me
and said i dont blame you for
what has happened and i know
that you loved her with all
of your heart but we couldnt
stop this from happening
so dont blame yourself for
what has happened she would
want you to live not die
so please dont kill yourself because its not yur fault

that night was the first night i had a total break down
i went to mine and hers room
and sat in the bean bag chair
that me and her sat in every
night the same one i held her
in while she died in my arms
and to this day i still blame
myself because if i was their
this would of never happened to me

i was asked by her father and mother
to say a few words at the and i did
the words were:
I LOVED HER WITH ALL MY HEART
AND THAT VERY NIGHT I WAS
GOING TO KILL MYSELF BECAUSE I BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT BEING
THEIR BUT IF IT WASNT FOR HER FATHER I WUOLDNT BE HERE TO THIS VERY DAY
