The O.J. Simpson Song Poem by Ramona Thompson

The O.J. Simpson Song

Author's note-If this offends anyone, then I am truely sorry. I only wrote what came to me.

Rewrite of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean

What happened so tragic was treated more like a murder scene from a movie screen
My spirit tried to call out to them, but no one would listen
When my soul screamed
He's not the one
Who spilled our blood here upon this concrete floor
Still they won't hear
They won't listen
Even after all these years
They say he is the one
The one who spilled our innocent blood here upon this concrete floor

They say our murderer's name is O.J. and they make a scene
Every finger coming out to accuse that he is the one
He is the one who spilled our innocent blood here upon this concrete floor

Damn newspeople looking for higher ratings always rant and say
'Be careful O.J. what you do.'
'Cos we're watching you 24/7 365.'
'You better not go around claiming to be innocent.'
Trying to capture the hearts of the people.
And our mixed up confused families always say
Be careful O.J. where you go
Cos we're always watching you
Daring you to cross that invisible line of our moral
holier then thou attitudes
So greedy, damn greedy
All we want is your money
Don't care if you're innocent or you're guilty
Just as long we can ride that gravy train
Been believing and fooling ourselves so long
That the lies we've told ourselves have become the false truth of our cold comforts

No O.J. is not our murderer
He's just the scapegoat that you all wanna claim is the one
But the man is not our killer
You all say he is the one
But the man is not our killer
No, no

Feels like this nightmare has been dragging on forever
For 40 years of both day and long endless nights
It seems that the law is never
Never ever on the side of an innocent black man
Watching and cringing
As they make all these unreasonable demands
Hatching cruel schemes and wicked plans
All in hopes of covering up
Covering up the crime of the century
'Cause they know
Oh yes I truely believe they know
Just who spilled our innocent blood here upon this concrete floor
So beware the advice of an unavenged ghost, before you ever trust the law
Before you ever trust the long long wrong arm of the law
Always think
Always think twice

They tell my babies that their daddy is a bad, bad, dirty low down man
Refuse to listen to me
They fake photos
Filled my babies eyes with tears
(Oh no)
Lying about our innocent blood spilled here upon this concrete floor

Damn newspeople looking for higher ratings always rant and say
'Be careful O.J. what you do.'
'Cos we're watching you 24/7 365.'
'You better not go around claiming to be innocent.'
Trying to capture the hearts of the people.
And our mixed up confused families always say
Be careful O.J. where you go
Cos we're always watching you
Daring you to cross that invisible line of our moral
holier then thou attitudes
So greedy, damn greedy
All we want is your money
Don't care if you're innocent or you're guilty
Just as long we can ride that gravy train
Been believing and fooling ourselves so long
That the lies we've told ourselves have become the false truth of our cold comforts

How dare they all stand in front of us
At our graves
Spitting upon our memories with vemous rumors and innuendos
Gagging us
Even six feet under
With the stench of too much smelly perfume
Oh yes if our lives had't ended so soon
Too soon
We sure as hell would have loved to lower that boom

O.J. is not our murderer
He's just the scapegoat that you all wanna claim is the one
But the man is not our killer
(No, no)
You all say he is the one, but the man is not our killer

O.J. is not our murderer
He's just the scapegoat that you all wanna claim is the one
But the man is not our killer
(No, no)
You all say he is the one, but the man is not our killer

You all say he is the one, but the man is not our killer
O.J. is not our killer
He's just the scapegoat that you all wanna claim is the one,
but the man is not our killer
You all say he is the one, but the man is not our killer

You all say he is the one
You all say he is the one
You all wanna believe that he is the one

O.J. Simpson is not our killer
