The Old And Run-Down Road Poem by Franchesca Mia Tortoza

The Old And Run-Down Road

I walk down the old and run down road
Remembering the friendship you and I once sowed.

With every trampled flower, every dead tree,
I remember the life of you and me.

Once ever radiant, ever bright,
Now it hides every beam of light.

Would it happen one time, once more?
Will they ever be back to how they were before?

Will these endless shadows ever be lifted?
Will our world somehow be shifted?

Will we ever walk together?
And fulfill the promise, we made of forever?

I want to walk down this path again,
And see the merry sights I saw back then.
