The Once Was A Princess Poem by Sophie Evans

The Once Was A Princess

Once there was a princess
In a fantasy world
An evil wizard tried to lock her up
Til she was grey and old
But he could never really lock her up
She would always walk away

He wanted her to be his
For forever and even more
But he didn’t have her heart
She couldn’t fake it anymore

He built up one too many walls
She snapped and started to yell
If you love something let it go
If it comes back then you know
It’s yours for as long as you want it to be
She panted, so, do you love me?
He responded with a simple yes and turned to run away
His walls could no longer hold this beautiful stray
