I want to be the one to kiss you
the one around when you are down to lift you
when the world frustrates
the one on your side to help you hold the worlds weight

When you feel your best
who's seen your hard work and how long you've stressed
and can attest
every nite before we lay to rest
every morning
every day, sometimes without warning
I want to be the one to kiss you

I'll be the one to miss you
when you're gone from me too long
my hearts voice will sing a song
to bring you home
and when you reach your journey's end
i'll be the one to kiss you then...
