The Open Window Poem by Jessica Beal

The Open Window

Rating: 4.5

Here I stand,
Just inside this open window.
My heart beats fast as I look down
Fourty stories below.

I turn around,
Thinking maybe you'll save me.
A tear rolls down my confused face.
You don't come,
The window is now my reality.

I stand and breathe hard.
I close my eyes and see,
Staggering blue eyes,
A charming face,
Perfect are you, no doubt.

I start to cry,
Let out a sigh,
As I let the window go..
