The Other Me Poem by Peter Handlin

The Other Me

Like a reverie; unswayed
The practical me, at odds
with that other me
yes, there is that one!
Fear?
No, inertia!
When set in motion
yielding something less than hoped

if you see otherwise
not to be kind
but because a truth becomes seared in your heart
look my way
I will know

Like a reverie. Lovely use of recall with purpose.
