The Other Side Of The Road Poem by Andrew Kim

The Other Side Of The Road

Taking a test on my desk
All my answers being guessed
Worried, confused, stunned
Feeling the cold breeze of the class
Thinking about a way to success

One idea stuck into my mind
Leading me to success or distress
And found two roads lying in the deep woods
Looking inside as long as I could,
One road and the other
I see my test sheet lying on the end of one road
And the other road lays a test sheet my neighbor owed

A decision between honesty or peek
What would help me pass the test with ease
Honesty or peek a hard decision to make
Thinking about the decision I have to take

What would be right like a God?
What would be wrong like a Demon?
Which road is it that I belong?

Finally I chose
Walking into the road for a peek
Sorry neighbor this is for my week
Thank you neighbor you saved my week

Next day I found my graded test on my desk
I am certain with an A+
And finally saw my score on the test
A huge 0 I see
I feel ashamed with regrets.
