The Pain Poem by ESPN CHICK

The pain is still here after all these years
These tears I strive not to cry but I do anyhow
I can't hold them back
I've been strong for too long
The battle I've been fighting
Thought I was winning, until now
Until the pain became to much to bear
Don't think I can hang on any longer

The pain grew stronger
I grew weaker
The battle scars are worn
And I'm torn and I just can't move forward
All these thoughts are creeping in
The pain has torched me like a fire
I'm hanging onto a rope like it's my lifeline
I feel like this war might be over after all
