The Pain Poem by Jose Baez

Please teach me how to live with this bad pain
Please teach me how to smile with this bad pain
But before anything just teach me
To accept and take life the way it is.

The years that have passed by
My life has changed around
I don’t have the feeling of the crowd.

I feel a strange sensation inside of me
It is so difficult for me to explain
I feel inside myself horrible pain
From terrible uncured malady.

Sometime I have forgotten
This contemptible pain
Never thought it could bother us so bad.

It wakes up in my soul a bunch of tears
The one that caused my heart to be distressed
If I believe that always through the years
I have to keep on suffering that pain.

Please teach me how to live with this bad pain
Please teach me how to smile with this bad pain
But before anything just teach me
