The Pain Of Love Poem by Rosa des Fleurs

The Pain Of Love

Rating: 5.0

The dark quiet stabbed again into my dreams
alone I remembered you
the pain of love tears at me
Cupids arrow has turned into a cross bow spliting me
apart
I think of the Elgin marbles
the broken fragments worn by time and the conquering
warriours taking pieces away
each man chips away at the timeless beauty till she is
eroded unrecognizably
Like the cold maiden without her eyes and limbs I
would still see you
I would still feel you
If my lips and tongue were gone I would still taste
you
the men leave nothing of the vanquished beauty
I place the cold steel of the gun you showed me
inside of me where you used to be
the bullet rips thru the flesh of my organs
I know the physical pain will not dull the pain of
love in my
heart
I would die remembering you
I would die kissing you goodbye
