The Painter's Still Hand Poem by Katherine Graven

The Painter's Still Hand

Rating: 5.0

With the sight in his eyes he sees the beauty
Multi-colors and light dancing in the breeze
Seductively desiring to portray
What his eyes can see
On an invisible white canvass his mind flees
Into the passion of his artistic ability

There is no hiding from his Soul’s weakness
For everyday he still turns away
Denying the joy, wondering does it matter at all
Saying there will be another day
When he will be able to open the window to his Soul
To paint GOD’S scenery once more

He feels and sees the beauty of GOD’S hand
But still he denies his Master’s command
He brushes it away with the swipe of his hand
Allowing the image to mysteriously slip away

Was it painter’s block

OR

Was he just to busy today

Will tomorrow he push his desires a way
Putting off his longing,
While forcing his soul to dance some other day

OR

Will his Yearning overcome and be renewed
To allow the life, of

The Painter’s Still Hand,
To be envisioned in truth

We know that GOD has a miraculous plan
And for this HE gave You HIS inspired hand
So take sweet of Your time
Not to miss the chance to paint life’s beauty
As seen through
Your eyes

For You this gift from GOD has only one reason …
And that is for You to paint
The beauty in GOD’S wondrous seasons…

This is a wonderful poem, Katherine. I really like this verse: We know that GOD has a miraculous plan And for this HE gave You HIS inspired hand So take sweet of Your time Not to miss the chance to paint life’s beauty As seen through Your eyes I believe that God is the giver of talents and that he desires and expects all of us to make good use of those that we have been given. A well written poem indeed. Best wishes Richard
