The Paper Boy Poem by Francis Duggan

The Paper Boy

The paper boy no longer shy he cuts a different caper
Since he worked for me eight years back delivering the local paper
And I've been told by a reliable source that the once shy young laddie
Has grown to be a randy buck and has proved himself a daddy.

'Twas Mrs X who told me so and Mrs X know better
That he's been sleeping round a bit and he never use 'french letter'
And Mrs X so very wise has found the explanation
For sharp increase in the past two years in the local population.

On paper boy she puts the blame she says he's got children by the dozen
And he's been known to even put the hard word on his cousin
And that even married women find him sexually attractive
And that he's deflowered some lovely girls and he sexually keeps active.

But on second thoughts I still believe my paper boy's no baddie
As he worked for me as paper boy when he was just a laddie
And someone had bad mouthed him to Mrs X and that's how rumour started
But paper boy not pervert kind than that more noble hearted.
