The Perfect Hero Poem by David Miao

A hero sweeps past his enemies with ease
He has all the answers, all the keys
to rid all evil to rule the seas
And yet he bores to me to no end

He has the looks, he has the charm
No fair lady shall come to harm
All in his presence reach a sense of calm
But is he truly god send?

Not for me, but maybe for you
You wouldn't be alone with that point of view
For his persona is nothing new
But theres just an idea I’d like to lend

The thought that his story would never start
His very perfection goes against an art
Which is based on challenges to the heart
and the process it takes for it to mend

For is it not the journey which we love
the trials and tribulations from those above
the evolution from crow to dove
upon which a legend does depend
