The Phoenix - Pert -1. Poem by Ratnakar Mandlik

The Phoenix - Pert -1.

Rating: 5.0

</>Blooming of a bud into beautiful flower
Breath-taking hues mingled in its attire
More precious it is than even a sapphire
Bounty of the nature everywhere appears.

Flower is destined alas soon to perish
Unlike mother India's charm celestial.
Unity in diversity it's offsprings cherish,
No onslaught can push it into grave peril.

Mountains, rivers, picturesque landscapes
Scattered everywhere are scenic expanses
Everything contributes to it enhances
Abounding scenic beauty of varied shapes.

Like a phoenix it did come out of ashes
Of slavery of centuries imposed by tyrants.
No doubt will come out soon from the mesh,
Quagmire of corruption of own lieutenants.
